Auxiliary History

The Auxiliary, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1974 by a group of spouses who recognized the need to form a national auxiliary to EANGUS. The Auxiliary is a grassroots organization that began with 11 chartered state auxiliaries. The West Virginia Auxiliary became chartered in August 2006. On a State level, we have opened the Auxiliary to include the spouses of NGAUS (The National Guard Association of the United States).

At the eighth Annual conference in South Dakota (1981), the motto “SIDE BY SIDE WE STAND WITH PRIDE” was approved, having been submitted by Jo Delia of Missouri.
